Do I need a Shunt for a Magic Pie III and Cycle Analyst?
« on: May 20, 2020, 06:09:56 PM »
Hi.   I guess that I'm an unconfirmed member.   I have a really simple question to ask, but I can't find an answer on the existing threads (or on the Golden Motor website).   I simply want to know "Do I need a shunt to use a Cycle Analyst 2.4 display with a Magic Pie III or will it connect directly into the Magic Pie wiring harness without a shunt ?).   I guess the thread title would be something like "Do I need a Shunt for a Magic Pie III and CA ?"     Many Thanks

Hi Jerry, you guessed wrong.  ???
Your account was Confirmed years ago when you originally posted about the sound module, which means you are a "Confirmed" member.  ;)

The shunt will definitely be required as it is the only way that the Cycle Analyst can measure the battery current.
