Static noise coming from horn
« on: May 10, 2012, 06:01:33 AM »
Hi All,
The horn connected to magic controller has started making a loud "static" kind of noise.  Everything is running fine, but the noise is a bit disconcerting. I've tried swapping it for a spare one that I had, but still makes the noise. BTW, I have the 250W mini motor.  Any clues?

Still making the annoying noise, like a radio that's off-station. Think I'll just remove it from the controller.

Maybe the contacts on your horn switch are dirty and causing a partial connection when not pressed? Try opening up the horn switch assembly(disconnect the battery first) and squirting some non residue contact cleaner in and around it, let the liquid dry, re-assemble and see if that fixed it.
