be aware UK regs only allow for one motor regardless of speed / power....
If one of the throttles is disconnected, you would basically have an ebike equipped with one electric hub motor and one hub dynamo/electrodynamic brake unit.

Perhaps GM should offer revised lettering on the hub to read GoldenGenerator or GoldenDynamo instead of GoldenMotor to avoid any confusion.

"Sorry Mr Policeman, I fully understand how you may have jumped to the wrong conclusion, but that's
not a high power motor, it's a super efficient hub dynamo that powers my ultra bright 16Watt 1400 lumen LED lights which are fitted for increased road safety. It also charges up this 48V 16Ah battery to ensure the lights continue to operate at their optimum safety level, even when the bike is stopped!"
"Of course I can explain that 4826 Watt Maximum Power reading, I've just fitted this device to monitor my dynamo output and the unit still needs to be calibrated to match the non-standard inductive current/voltage sensing device. And that 63mph maximum speed reading is obviously wrong, must be due to road vibration affecting the reed switch inside the speed sensor!"
"The squashed flies on the lights? Oh, I guess that must have happened while travelling down the motorway with the bike on the roof rack"
It's good to know that there's usually a logical explanation for most things!

On a more serious note, has anyone here actually tried the Magicshine MJ-816 Light unit?
