General Question
« on: December 29, 2009, 11:32:27 PM »
Hello friends, I'm a new buyer for this page.
I bought two motorized wheels, a week ago and I have no news.
I live in Spain.
Tell me what is the estimated delivery time
I would ask if there a tracking number to track the shipment

Hi, I live in Asturias and I ordered a complete kit and it arrived in separated packages:
 - The battery arrived in 4 weeks.
 - The motor, controller, ... took 5 or 6 weeks (Those were stopped in the ADUANA and I had to pay taxes).

The answer is, whenever they get to it. They have no delivery schedule. If it's back ordered, you've paid your money, now you have to wait till they gather enough orders to purchase from their suppliers. You don't actually believe they manufacture their products, do you? They have them made for them. Golden Motors is just a distributor of contracted goods.:-X

Sounds about right, Bob.

I have several products with 'Made in China' & 'Designed in U.S.A' stickers on them ..which were also made in China ::)

Just received MPs 2+ months after ordering.

Bob - I am not sure of your culture or location but your comments here and in your other post regarding GM's attitude are a little strange..

Perhaps approaching things with a positive attitude will delivery better results - it looks like you have provided no details of your real issue with GM and if you think communication and customer service are the same thing then you are mistaken.

I see you complaining about customer service but are you actually a customer ??  And I also see you basing your comments on a third parties apparent experience with GM and now they have closed shop - either a very stupid or bad business person that manages to close a business due to one supplier....

Anyways - why not take a positive approach to your questions and let things take their course - you may be surprised....

Rich

I might still be a "newbie" but it didn't take me very long to figure out which way the wind blows at this "forum". You speak the truth and your posts get deleted. How is that a forum? Lips sealed

I can't speak for anyone else, but as far as I am concerned they should delete any posts
that rant and complain and don't actually have value to the other users. (This one included.)

The reason I participate in the SMF is to learn new ideas, techniques, and hardware for my E-Bike.
It is not to help you get your product.  If this were a forum for shipping issues I probably wouldn't be
a member, and if I thought this was customer service, I would definitely be somewhere else instead.

The forums IMO are supplied honestly by GM and still they operate them with bad press.  Some posts regarding where a purchase is and how long is to be expected is harmless IMO.  However the contents of some regarding cultural differences of different nations are not going to get the package to the purchaser earlier.

I feel GM can take a bit of online criticism on their own forums within reason and commend GM for being up front.

On the purchasers side.

Its scary buying online and waiting can be very frustrating.  It possibly may be good to make a complete forum on the front page for GM general customer feedback so that Yuan or other reps can easily look at who is waiting.

Main feedback forum  could contain.

Delivery feedback. ETA and Missing items.
Returns and refunds, return information and policy
Customer service.

Lock it for registered users only.

And a little mod I would do, is to put most recent posts in the tabs at the top or easily accessible. Its just a matter of inserting this HTML link http://goldenmotor.com/SMF/index.php?action=recent into the index template layout in PHP quotes.

I like this idea.  It could go one step further and create an account
and supply a login as part of the receipt, that way by ordering you become
a registered user and don't have to repeat your work.

The "show unread posts" link is already in the top frame along with "Show Replies to your posts"

The only thing I would like is to combine those two into
"show unread posts  in topics you have posted in"

I don't really need to see posts in "Consultas de Espaniol" (sorry about butchering the topic)

Elmer,

Sometimes it's worth looking at the posts if only to see the pictures:

JuanQui's 24V 250W electric racing bike, a nice picture in any language. ;)

If you want a vague English translation for the Hilo de consultas en Español try this link.

Yep, but that post should go in the gallery, or at least be copied there.

I use to babelfish the posts then try to answer till they told me to shut up.
