Throttle only works 1 time.
« on: May 21, 2026, 05:08:34 PM »
Hello,
I have a new golden motor rear with 48V (50V) battery.

There is a problem I don’t understand.
When I start with the thumb throttle everything is going well but when I brake or let loose the throttle and restart, the throttle does not respond anymore.
I then have to turn off the battery wait 3seconds en turn it back on and then the throttle works again until I brake or stop pushing the thumb throttle.
Then same story.
When I’m driving, I can turn on the cruise control button and keep going. Went over 2 km but as soon as I brake the throttle is not responding anymore.

Everything is working fine exept for this.
I turned up and down the Ampsettings but the problem remains.
My log list stay empty.

Can someone help me for a solutions or step guide I can follow to check.
I have 2 battery but same problem with both.
Thank you very much!

Kind regards

Hi Luigi

I'm not sure what is causing your problem but it doesn't appear to be a problem with your controller settings or your batteries.

I suggest that you start by temporarily disconnecting both of the brake switch cables by unplugging the connectors and see if the throttle problem still exists.
Check out this thread for a similar problem that was caused by a wire shorting out inside one of the brake switches.

If disconnecting the brake connectors cures your problem then plug them back in one at a time to determine which one is faulty.

If the problem still persists with the brake switches unplugged, it could be an internal short circuit within the main wiring harness, a faulty thumb throttle, or possibly the controller itself.

Try unplugging the brake cables first and let us know what happens.
