Revisit the three beeps on magic pi

I have a first generation 48V magic pi. 

It has worked great for years (after a few hiccups with the postman wheel).

Suddenly I get the three beeps problem.  The wire at the hub looks fine.

Before I start willy-nilly replacing wires or breakdown my hub,
does anyone have a wiring diagram so I can check the other wires?

After this many years, it's about time I started cutting them shorter anyway.

Hi Elmer,

Three beeps indicates a throttle fault, so check the voltage readings on the Black 3 pin throttle connector:



Between Black and Red it should be ~5V.
Between Black and White it should be ~0.8V with the throttle released, going up to between 3.25V~4.2V at full throttle.
As all the connectors share a single common ground wire, make sure there is continuity throughout the entire daisy chain of the Black wire.

I subbed in a new throttle, no-go. 
Now I am trying to remove the cover to test the wires inside.
This motor is old, a first gen Magic Pie, and the covers don't want to come off. 
I  guess next is as some heat, but to the hub or to the cover?
Any advice?

Now I have the wire side cover off, but the controller side is held by the bearing.
How do I get that side bearing out?

Try warming the cover with a hairdryer or heat gun etc. to try and expand it so it will come away leaving the bearing behind on the axle.
As you already have the other side cover removed, you could use a hammer/mallet and a suitable piece of wood to drift the cover off from the opposite side (between the stator spokes) and rotate the stator to allow the drift to be used evenly around the cover.
