The biggest problem I find with the BAC-601 Display unit is that it does not retain any of the trip data when the battery is turned off, the odometer is the only information that isn't lost.
Long press “UP+MODE” button, back light on. Then again long press “UP+MODE” button, back light off.
I have an early version of the BAC-601 Display and mine also loses all the trip information when power is turned off. But, I don't understand why yours isn't saving the odometer data. Alan
i finished my installation with the pas-sensor and everything works fine exept the odometer data saving.so I have to use another small bike-computer to save the data...the gm retailer told me that loosing all data when turning off the power is normal an not an missfunktion of the display.gtx hannes

But the total miles ridden, or odometer mileage, is kept and updated. I would double check with GM and make sure they are understanding you correctly. Or a newer model has lost this feature...? (Doubtful)
