HPC700 link to laptop
« on: July 04, 2018, 11:42:42 AM »
Hi.  We are developing a rather unusual version of the electric vehicle, being a hydraulic/electric hybrid and are having a few problems.

the first issue is we cant get the laptop to connect to the controller.  We use the HPC700  controller and the PI-400 control kit but cant get comms ( yes, I have clicked on the "connect" icon).  It simply does not find a Com port.  is there a user guide please?

This is just to confirm that we have the correct settings before I ask for help with the next issue

Thank you in anticipation

Hi Norman andto the forum.

The High Power BLDC Controller User Guide doesn't mention anything about programming.

Quote from: www.goldenmotor.com
Model: PI-400 -- HPC Controller Programming Kit
Easy Installation for PC/laptop with Windows OS
Easy USB Port Connection
Setup Parameters without Power-on Controller
Monitor Motor Performance Dynamically

Are you trying to program the controller with or without the battery power connected, and what software are you using?

Thank you  Alan

firstly we solved this by finding the software on the Canadian forum.  We were sent the wrong software and did not know it.

"HPCMIS_WIN.rar"  from your forum, that included the driver was needed... then it was pretty straight forward to at least talk to the controller. we are progressing at last....

So, if anyone has this problem, the answer is to get the correct software from the Canadian site ( it is nowhere on the main site)
