HPC500 72V Brake connection
« on: April 15, 2014, 05:18:55 PM »

Is someone can tell me what is the terminal 13 (brake) is for, and how it work? (I'am not asking for the brake switches (terminal 10))

On some connection drawing it is not connected. On some other drawings, the terminal 13 is directly connected to the positive of a 12V battery, in the drive documentation there is 2 differents way to connect that terminal.

Thanks

Hi andto the forum Colineo.

It looks to me as if terminal 13 is only used if you are using variable regenerative braking or you already have a 12V brake light system on the vehicle and wish to use the existing brake switch to also operate the pre-set regenerative braking.

I think the battery symbol has just been used to indicate that the +12V brake light feed being used to activate the regenerative braking, but I'm confused as to why it says "No Use" with a big X next to it on the wiring diagram. ???

Perhaps you should send an email to David at GM (wyh@goldenmotor.com) and seek his advice.
