i recieved this back from golden motor on the battery

The battery has  3-C discharging rating. This means 3x8A=24A continuous. Maximum current is 50A for a few seconds.
That is very good. I think I just found my new battery. :)

Do you have the size measurements for the battery? I wonder if it will fit in my small triangle.

the battery including mount is 13 inches long. when I went to bed last night I had a great match on the green for the battery however when I woke up it had changed a little. looking at it it is darn close however the pictures it dosn't look like such a close match. I am happy with it. no one will know it is electric :)

i took the bike by the airport today and weighed it using their scales. not sure how accurate they are but I imagine they are close. complete set up was 47 pounds.

Regarding your "winter cruise" photo:  You, Sir, are a terrible, terrible man.

The Portland Oregon area is closing in on setting a new record for rainfall, while the Mt Hood ski areas are enjoying plentiful snowfall.

Cruel, Sir, Cruel.

Dennis

my kids say the same thing dennis. my wife and I moved to the virgin islands almost 5 years ago from michigan and we know winter well. for christmas cards I put a picture of each of our daughters in the freezer leaning against the ice trays and took a picture of it and the caption was "Thinking of You" Merry Christmas

i set the Smart Pie up to the 24 x50a and it made a nice difference. I was running it at 15a and 40a.  seems to have a lot better torgue and run a little faster. seems to be the perfect setting for Smart Pie and bottle battery set up
