Connection two chargers in parallel

Hello All,

Is it possible to connect two chargers in parallel via Schottky diodes? Is it not dangerous?

Unless your chargers are smart I can't see the harm. If the chargers are smart though they need to see the state of charge of the batteries by looking at the battery voltage and that wouldn't be possible with two chargers, both because of the diode and that one charger would read the output of the other. But I can't see the harm as long as there is a good BMS controlling the actual charging. But I'm just guessing, if you brake anything its on you.

Input form someone more experienced with this would be better. But as far as I know the BMS does the job of stopping the charging, if this isn't the case then two paralleled chargers wont work. I believe that the light on the charger that tells you it's finished is based on the current flowing out of the charger and not the voltage read from the battery. When the BMS stops the charging the current stops flowing and the light turns green.

Why would you connection two chargers parallel?
For more current?

If so I don't that will work, because those chargers are intelligent.
So current and voltage will be never the same at the outputs.

Also you can't hook up battery with bms to those chargers.
This because the chargers have their own bms.

"chargers have their own bms" - hmm... My charger has only two power leads and it's without a balance port... So, how does its BMS work and why needed?

BMS is needed because the offered chargers (power supply) don't have bms.

And your charger has internal power supply and bms (balancer).
