My Pie and 48v 20a gm battery
« on: December 31, 2011, 11:21:10 AM »
Been awhile since my last post. 3000km and not one problem with pie or battery.Longest trip I have made 40km. Never had battery lvc since I have had it.Everything works great and I love it.Actually I  did break a spoke but that was girlfriend kicking the wheel saying I care more about my bike than I do her.I tried to lie and tell her it was not true. She said choose, me or the bike! Damn ill miss her.managed to get a pic, sorry its kinda dirty lol. Will post more after work.Hope everyone had a merry christmas and has a happy new year.

Hi blompod. My battery is a golden motor 48v 20 ah lifepo4 that I bought  from gary from gm canada web site.Battery charges to 58.4 volts and I have never discharged it under 50 v after 40 km ride.I think this battery is the best bang for the buck out there right now.Very similar to ping battery but with a hand plastic case.Battery has worked flawlessly for me.I have a modded gm controller and am getting  3000w on a front mp 11.Will spin front tire if I hammer throttle.Where I live there is not many hills and I only let it hit 3000w for about 5 sec so as not to fry phase wires and controller.Only takes about 5 sec to hit top speed of 45 km lol.I think I was the first to buy this battery in canada.Im glad I did.
