Could you give me advice anyone about PI200?

Hello everyone.

Could you  give me advice anyone about PI200?

I bought MagicPie with inner controller and usb cable from website  at 2011 march.
Its very cool motor.and I like this.

But I have one problem .
I cant configure my MagicPie by Pi200.

so I send mail to Golden-motor support sometime.
But They are ignoring  me!!

I am feeling distrust increasing for f*%king Golden-motor support and chief engineer Tom .  

But I like MagicPie,
And I want to use this. and configured my custom setting.
(default pedalic is high. its too fast for me. I can NOT do to go SLOWLY. its very dangerous.  )

Could you  give me advice anyone?

I tried fellow.
 1) connect MagicPie to PC with UsbCable For inner.
 2) execute pi200. (broken string dialog appear ,click OK)
 3) click Connect button. ->appear success connect message. and MagicPie beep once.
 4) click GetConfig button -> appear success GetConfig message. and Mp beep once.
 5) modify my favorite setting.(pedalic : high to low and volt: 24V to 36V)
 6) click Store/Save button ->appear confirmation dialog. I click YES. Mp do NOT beep.
 7) click disconnect button and exit button -> disappear main window.
  remove from PC and connect kit harness.
 9) I run test. BUT it is NOT changed anything.
 10) so reconnect MagicPie to PC by UsbCable and reexecute PI200.
 11) click connect (success). and click GetConfig(success).
 12) I notice that my favorite setting (" 5)") is returned to default setting.

I guess ,i cant configure to my setting at "(6"

My controller in MagicPie or UsbCable(for Inner), are they broken?.
or pi200Bug? or I miss anyting to use?


os: WinXp(SR3) or Win7(32bit) (I tried both)
Magic Pie(inner Controller) And UsbCable

Hi hard! thanks for replying.

I use PI200-I and MagicPie(inner controller ).

I could NOT  seem "Load success" message ,When I click save/store button.

I could  Connect and GetConfig and Disconnect only.(Appeared Success message.)
so,I think that ?he cause has two possibilities of A and B.

A)USB Driver(I guess that cant send PC to MP).
 ->HID device  is related to the correspondence language of OS.
 -> I use Windows For Japan. I live near Fukusima Nuclear Plant  ,he he.(inner 200km circle)
 
B)Defect of nonvolatile memory In MP.
 -> may be E2Prom.My Mp is Initial malfunction.

I will report detail later.

Several persons have the same problem (me too  ) but we do not know what is the cause.
In my opinion - this is defective interface (I tried with several controllers. Always has the same effect).

Hello tomasz, thanks for profitable opinion.

Can you tell me that you use Os version and  Os for language.
I use XpSr3 and Win7(32bit) for Japanese.

I want  to know that  which Pc or Magicpie the problem.

I have Win XP (with Sp3) /Polish language/

Some time ago (in the beginning) I have successfully programed the controler.
But from a long time, correct programing is impossible.

I have heard that hid device related by language.(by Hid report Descriptor "Usage Table" etc)
We use localize language Os.(Not English and Not chines) its one fact.   

by the way,
Is this really that successfully programed in beginning?

I read link that Hardcore teach me.
so I think that My Pie may NOT connected  yellow cable As one possibility.

But you have a new problem case .may be.

Mp is like a problem child., its nightmare!!.

This is not an exaggeration to say the swindle.

my problem is same as yours , but I locate to wiring loom on pie

you can receive, but not send....i have this problem sometimes with my connection from controller cable to pie wiring loom...i make sure connection is straight and not circular, and connection is good, then usb will transmit....check wiring all way through.....if you are comfortable to remove pie cover, do continuity test on all wires in loom....

There is not only A,B but also a possibility of C.

A Software(USB Driver)
B)Faulty  wiring.(yellow wire don't connect rx)
C)the breaking of a wire

Because some guys are here ,who have  problem happened SOMETIME !!(I have every time )
When it have breaking of a wire ,The connection becomes gamble

okay I will try  to confirm wire too

I like Magicpie And here.!!!(Excepting Goldenmotor Support  yao and tom. they don't work )
