Beep on Magic Pie

hello, when I put the contact on the Magic Pie this one does not work and makes 5 beep.
that after a sudden cut in a rise.
Does anybody know the meaning of the beep and or we can get themselves the lexicon which explains  and how to program the Magic Pie ?

 I believe to have found an answer... the controler is died. I think of having inverted polarity so yes...
How to buy another controler, or to repair it.. if it is just necessary to change mofset?
And always another question but now it's not queckly how to make the reverse walk?

Firstly, very sad to hear about your problem. But very good you write directly what is wrong, and what has happened.
If this controller is beeping, then your battery sounds OK, but check this is providing proper power too.

I would suggest doing this:
For the controller replacement, email TOM from Goldenmotor-->  tom@goldenmotor.com

Tell him you need to buy replacement controller.

Maybe something like:
"Hi Tom my name is XXXX,

I need to order replacement internal cruise controller for Magic Pie wheel for broken. How much is cost and how can I pay for this?

From memory - the internal controller cost is $35USD -> there may be some extra for postage but it should not cost more than $50USD
The pack sometimes comes with the cables, so it's good to have this spare anyway.

To replace the controller, search this forum for "Magic Pie wiring" and "remove hub casing" and "internal controller wiring" and you will find many posts about the internal controller.

Luckily all of your cables should be okay, so you can simply remove the broken controller and install the replacement one and you should be fine then

Thank you Monkey, I have write to Tom and I need to orderer an external controleur and write to sales@ and say that it is an internal which I want.
it's 65 $
Cool also for the words of research into the forum because I am going to need it.
This weekend I am going to try to change mofsets before ordering a new.
I do not risk much he is intended for the trash can. I shall post photos the next week

Hopefully you will have some luck with replacing the fets, may I ask how much you are buying these for?

If your controller beeps now, that near guarantees that you will have a good chance just replacing the FETS as the microcontroller and low voltage circuit would be working if beeps are evident.

Would be great if you can take some pics when you are doing this, to help others. Hope you have some success !

Hi, there was indeed a grilled mosfet, I changed two, but that worked ten minutes and they roasted both.
It was really old " men " mosfet and in only 50 volts...
There is no reference on the mosfets of the Magic Pie, I ordered 6 like that:http://fr.farnell.com/international-rectifier/irlb4030pbf/mosfet-n-ch-100v-180a-to220/dp/1698301?Ntt=IRLB+4030
and I am going to change six.

yes you have some more grinding sanding and filing to do on that wheel lol there is no turning back now!

what color is it going to end up? I think you should take it down to an custom auto shop and get it chrome electroplated that would look awesome

oh and the mosfets you had were too low voltage rating, and you probly tested it with a 48v battery too hehe so you will need something safe 60+v so around 75V -- amperage per fet, not sure how high current rating you are able to get but something around 50A should be reliable.

at least you would have felt happy when it lived again, geez you did that quick too!
