with SIX beeps. It came back 20 minutes later, but now I'm confused. Ideas, anyone?

Had it been working hard, or done lots of high speed regen on steep hills?

It could be a temperature controlled safety cutoff which resets itself when the motor cools down again.

Six beeps? first I heard of that one. I had my pie(when I had only one) shut down on me several times for heat and come back 5-7 minutes later. But no beeps.maybe it means.

It used to frustrate me as well, But it beats frying the motor! I noticed top end was around 35kph so I set my cycle analyst to 32kph and it never shut down again. I guess reducing the speed by that amount was enough to not have the motor running flat out at all times and alowed it to run cool enough.

How is your amps and regen set?



I towed 40+ kgs 110 kg (242 lbs) including the rider home no pedals,today on my 250 watt 20" brushed motor and it was barely warm.  I hope that the my soon to arrive pies can do this too without getting too hot.

The brushed motor is not only on a 20" wheel its geared as well and reaches 28kph~ 30kph max.    



Today's temperature is a nice  27 deg C.  So we got ourselves a BBQ to keep the heat out of the home in summer.
