Cruise Controller stoped working
« on: April 05, 2010, 10:43:14 PM »
I have the 750W, 36V 16AH, magic controller.
Regen braking not connected.
Have been using the crusie control button only for on/off, which is fine as there is not much traffic where I ride & I switch off well before needing to slow down.  Last ride the cruise controller stuck on & much pressing would not turn it off,  so I reached around & turned the key switch off. When I turned the key back on, the cruise controller would not work.
Any one with any ideas on what may have caused this problem & how to rectify?

Thanks,

Phil

the cruise control button is only a momentary button...
Give us a little more detail as to how you have your controller hooked up.

If the cruise controller button is just a momentary switch, then perhaps a wire has come loose. Check all your connections. Try bypassing it, or removing the switch from the controller and directrly shorting the contacts to see if the cruise control function still works. Do it with the bike on a stand or some way where the wheel with the motor is off the ground.

I checked & redid all connections & it's working fine again, I thought it might be someting more sinister, all good!
