Golden Tech support is intended to take the burden of answering technical questions for new owners off the backs of existing owners as the purpose of this forum was originally envisioned. All pre-sales questions must still be answered by sales unless sales requests they be answered by tech support.

From the beginning Microsoft has not provided complete documentation to everyone, even for DOS, although including the means to do things like turn off pop-ups or slide-ups or to permanently disable auto-play. After all Bill Gates, Paul Allen and Steve Ballmer where educated for the most part in private schools where everything that could be salable was considered a trade secret. You have to be willing to pay through the nose to get some of this knowledge which Microsoft keeps under lock and key and which is the basis of its kingdom. Who needs a slide-up to inform them that they have not used a desktop icon according the the schedule that Microsoft would prefer? Want to eliminate this slide-up altogether then you will have to pay Microsoft through the nose unless someone else who already has wants to make the information public. Such persons have displaced the founders of Microsoft who remain heroes only to themselves.
Most companies have succeeded "by hook or by crook", but M$ succeeds by hook AND by crook.  Young Billy started his criminal career early with the theft of BASIC from the Unix world.  Now he and his have the gall to claim it as their own.  Billy is a mediocre programmer, but a criminal mastermind when it comes to marketing.  He, the Godfather of Redmond Mountain, excelled at making companies offers they could not refuse ( either put M$ Winblows on every machine you make or go out of business in the case of computer makers or either your signature or your brains will be on the technology release in the case of software companies ).
