High RPM hub motors?
« on: October 04, 2007, 06:01:47 PM »
Does anyone know a cheap and reliable Chinese source (like Golden motors) of high RPM hub motors. I'm considering converting an old scooter to an electric one with a help of some friends who know these things.

Golden sells road speed scooters and would welcome inquiries to help assess a move upward to even faster electric vehicles. Drop an email to sales@goldenmotor.com

Golden sells road speed scooters

They do? I'm looking at performance like at least 40 km/hr speed and over 50km range on a body such as this. There are a lot of Chinese companies that offer something like that so I'm sure they're aware of the market.

That's pretty cool. I never checked out their "electric bike" link in left navigation until now assuming it's the page with DIY hub motor kit. Any idea what kind of speed and range this scooter give?

You pretty much have to ask sales since prices and specifications are subject to frequent change.

They look pretty cool but I wonder if they are compareable to the competition out there. ;D
