Bwizz , The only thing that should be connected to the motor is the usb cable . Disconnect the battery feed to the motor at the connector nearest the motor . No battery is needed for programing . Rodmiami

Hi Bwizz,
first: you have the normal USB MP3cable, didn't you?
second: What OS do you have?
third: how do you start it (elevated rights?)
fourth: what does your device manager show under USB or ports when you connect the cable (with or without the MP3)?
fifth: what software (version) do you have
CHeers

G'Day.

If I could butt in...

I had old S/W with "282" or "288" showing in top right corner. It worked OK run "as administrator" on Win 8 and worked normally on Win XP sp2. Beeps were heard as expected.

Yesterday I found another link was to a later version (executable time stamped about May '13). It works OK EXCEPT the beeps NO longer occur.

So so long as the red notifications show at the foot of the display window all should be ok. If not summinks really wrong.

PS also ALWAYS "DISCONNECT" before closing program!!!

Anyhoo...

Annoyingly the S/W saves whatever you change on the interface (EVEN if not saved to controller) to a file "Data.mxf". If the file doesn't exist it creates it at start up and again at program exit.

So, I discovered that the only way one could be sure the motor was being updated was to laboriously delete that file (folder open behind program) when ever it appeared in the program folder thus ensuring that what I "GET" from the controller was indeed just that (else the file just loads exactly the same thing as last selected all the time). ie whenever I start the program (no file) the options are blank until I "GET" the controller setup; if it then appears as expected then it has updated..

Hope that helps debugging a bit. Regards, Ron
