Hall Sensor - how to choose?

How to choose hall sensors for hub motors? There are many and all of them look similar for me.

What's the difference between OmniPolar, BiPoloar and UniPolar sensors?

You need the bipolar it's like 0 or 1 same as 5V or 0V when sensor is working.
Operate when there is positive magnetic (S) and stop working when there is negative magnetic (N).

Unipolar = just require positive magnetive (S) for operating and stop working (ofcourse in the positive magnetic field).

Omnipolar= operate when there is S or N magnetic field.

All Hall Sensors in my Motor provide 5V - no matter of the wheel position. Should I consider that all of them are failed?

Here is how I did the test:
1) disconnected the Motor from anything
2) connected 5V supply to the thin RED and BLACK wires coming from the motor (thick wires are phase wires, thin ones are sensors)
3) connected a Pull-Up 10K register to one of the thin sensor wires coming from the motor
4) connected a multimeter between the BLACK (GND) wire and the output of one of the sensors (there are three - GREEN, YELLOW, BLUE wires)
5) slowly rotated the motor forward and then backward - the multimeter shown 4.9V all the time without any relation to the motor's position

I repeated stares 3-5 for each sensor and got the same results...

Have my sensors failed?

What is Pull-Up 10K register
Maybe you can try this: measuring between red wire end the sensors wire and whithout the Pull-Up 10K register.

Some of Hall Sensors have open-drain outputs - so they need either a load or external Pull-Up resistor in order to provide the correct voltage levels. Without this Pull-Up register all the sensors provide 0V without any relation to the motor position.

Could you please provide the whole part number of the sensors, which you use (you only wrote you use 'S41' sensors, but this is just a part of the whole part name).

There are sensors with low-, medium- and high- Gauss - which one would you prefer? What's the difference?

Do a wheel size effect on the hall sensors choice? Actually I need sensors for 12" geared hub motor.

Nope wheel size doensn't matter only the type sensor.

Your Hall Sensor also requires an external Pull-Up register - you could see an installation diagram in the provided by you doc.

Nope I have just tested without any pull up resistor(s).

I have just measured between red and hall sensors output.
And their outputs are fine (5V or 0V).
