If the controller is already set for 48V operation, it will work fine with that battery on the default settings.

However, if you need to change the voltage setting from 24V or 36V to 48V, you will need either the USB Programming cable and a PC with the programming software or the Bluetooth dongle and a compatible smartphone with the Bluetooth programming App.
