Battery Charging While Riding
« on: April 11, 2017, 08:11:06 PM »
I seem to remember seeing, somewhere, that when you are coasting (say going down hill) that the battery is being charged.  I also think I remember that you had to be braking.  Is this correct or does it just charge when power is not being applied?  (Magic Pie Edge) Thanks, tom

I think you are referring to regenerative braking. It will only charge when the brake is applied and if the battery is below the high voltage cutoff to prevent overcharging.

Can I assume that only one of the brake levers need be used and with very little braking pressure applied.  I just want the regenerative option to increase riding range.  Thanks, Tom

As I understand both brake switches are connected together so any brake or external connected brake-switch will work as regen. Applied brakeforce can be set in software  ;)
