I think I have the TRC010, although not 100% sure. The connection was straight forward though, just plugging in the connectors.

I also experienced shuddering at higher revs. That was due to an firmware update changing the scale of controller setting but without the actual settings being changed accordingly. That was solved by an email to GM though.

The 010 is a round handle, the 012 has a wider flat section at the top. I had lots of trouble connecting because I followed the instructional video for the 010 😩.
I’ll have to email GM again about the shuddering. It happens around 2100 rpm and 2600r (rotor speed on the app).

On the pictures I find online it seems the trc-012 has some sort of power display. If that's the case I imagine there are more connections.

It’s a battery level meter and quite accurate. The. Buttons are on/off and speed mode, which doesn’t seem to make any difference. You can also use the buttons to reprogram the throttle so it works the opposite way round.
