Can a controller be repaired?
« on: June 16, 2009, 01:54:38 PM »
Although new to the forum I have had a 36 volt kit for several years with no trouble.  Recently I made the drastic error of reversing the polarity from the batteries to the controller... and it no longer works.  Is there a fuse inside which can be replaced?  This is not the newer "magic" controller being sold, but an older one in an aluminum case.  If there is no fuse, is there something standard that happens with reversed polarity which can be repaired?  Or am I looking at replacing the controller with a new one?  Many thanks.
