48v 20AH Magic Pie 2 -Battery -

Hi, I have a 48v 20Ah Battery with my magic Pie 2 Kit.
I take an internet photo of the battery, but the descriptions says 36v, my battery is 48v20ah for my 1000 watt kit but is the same shape.

I have a controller problem, and I decided to buy a new one controller. I would like to buy a 1500W controller 45Amper controller, I suppose that motor will have no problem with a 1500W controller, but I suspect the battery or BMS will have any problem with 1500W.

So Do you know this battery (Photo) remember description in photo is wrong, could handle 45A?Do you know which cells this battery use? do you know which Amper could the bms handle? It was the battery that came with a Magic pie 2 1000W 48v kit.

Hi Gabriel,

If your 48V battery is the same size as the pack shown in your post, it will only have a 10Ah capacity, not 20Ah.
Only the 24V battery has 20Ah capacity in the same style case (36V has 12Ah).

The GM 48V 20Ah pack is a much larger unit containing 32 10Ah cells:



The GM LiFePO₄ packs tend to use either 10Ah or 12Ah cells:



The 10Ah LiFePO₄ cells are rated for 30A continuous and 50A peak, but the BMS is probably limited to ~30A.
It is unlikely that your battery will be able to provide a constant 45A output.
