New member seeking advice
« on: April 02, 2018, 08:36:17 AM »
Hi, I purchased a job lot of electric bikes from a family whose father had unfortunately passed away, one of these was a GM in a ladies bike, this turned out very handy as the gap in the middle was ideal for mounting the battery box, have used old laptop batteries for the power source and now have a 25ah 52v battery, this seems to run well on the initial test runs, this will be going to a friend of mine who had a bad accident some years ago and this will stop him from being housebound, have tried to find out some information on the set up but very little avaliable, I think the controller is the one before the model with the USB port for programming came out, the wheel is front drive and marked at 500 watt, but, from what I understand the wattage and power can vary according to the battery voltage, again details are a bit vague on this issue, any advice would be appreciated, another 500 watt front wheel was included in the Ebay sale and I will be using this in my other bike, from what is understood Golden Motor is one of the premium makes on the market so have lucked in here with the purchase, regards to all Doc Cox.

Hi DC andto the forum.

If you can post some pictures of  the controllers/motors we might be able to help identify what equipment you actually have.
