MP5 front wheel regen braking BROKEN?!
« on: March 24, 2016, 04:51:09 AM »
My MP5 was purchased August, 2015. The left side, front wheel regen braking feature has almost completely stopped working. In other words, if I brake with that lever, it does NOT cut power and does not start regen. Very dangerous.

Rear wheel, right lever regen braking is OK.

Please let me know if there is a way to fix this.

*Never modded, altered, crashed or changed the MP5 in any way. Fully stock, OEM install.

Hy Guyblat
that sounds like the brake (to be precise: the On function of the integrated switch) is not working anymore. Did happen in my MP3's as well. After disassembling the brake I get to the encapsuled, opened it (hardly get it out...) and did put a new one (called  T604). This one is a two times switch, so a malfunction (which is really critical in need !!!) is pretty unlikely again.
You could change the brake cables (in my case No.1 and 4) and interchange them. If the error moves with it, the brake is the cause=> replace it. My first defective brake was a big overhaul, as I put in grease to get rid of the squeaks and put in a small wheel (greased as well) with  thread at the end with a safety nut and have a much higher Quality of brake. As I'm using hydraulic brakes the delivered brakes function just as and additional (Regen Braking)
Cheers
