Magic Pie 4 Error Code 5

Hello,

I received my Magic Pie 4 in January used it twice and done about 15 miles.
Third time I tried to use it the BAC601 shows error code 5.
So emailed Golden Motor and got a reply from an Andy Zhang saying it sounds like the controller and that I have to change the controller. So I replied explaining that it had only done about 15 miles now I get no replys to my emails, I have tried Andy Zhang and the Golden Motor sales email addresses.

Can somebody help?

Hi Brian andto the forum.

Error 5 indicates that one (or more) of the MOSFETs in the controller has failed.

Usually when this happens the wheel becomes stiff to turn, but not always.

I suggest that you send a copy of the email received from Andy Zhang to David at GoldenMotor in China and explain that you have not had a response and see if he can help.

I also suggest that you read this post for further information about changing the controller.

Whereabouts in the UK are you?

Thanks for the reply I have sent an email David. Will see if I get a reply.

I have no problem changing the controller if I can get one.

Currently living in North Lincolnshire.
