MPIII - throttle not working after using program cable
« on: June 24, 2014, 12:58:05 AM »
Hi all,

I just tried the golden motor programmer for the first time. Seems like a cool piece of software, except...

I entered the settings that I thought that I wanted, plugged it into my motor, pressed connect, store/save, and unplugged the cable without properly disconnecting on the programmer (ooops?). Now no matter how I tweak the settings - current, motor type, phase, direction, etc - the motor will not activate when I depress the throttle. However, it will do regen when I squeeze the brake lever.

Any ideas about how to fix this?

Also, what are the stock settings for the MPIII? Anyone know?

Thanks!
Henry

Well, after taking a break and returning to the project, I unplugged and replugged the throttle, and everything started working again.  ::)

I'm not sure that I did anything with the programmer, however. I brought regen to 0% and the bike still certainly regens...

Is there a comprehensive guide to using this software to program these controllers?

Thanks,
Henry
