replacing controller cable identification question(MP3)
« on: April 23, 2014, 10:04:29 PM »
I am replacing burned internal controller from MP3 for new (spare) one but found out that original one in the wheel is not totally same design like spare one I got from GM. Sapre one has nice silver/black graving saying "Golden motor" and original one has just ugly metal plate. As well motherboard is in different position. But overall it fits there and is very similar. BUT...

My question is about right connecting of 3 main wires. As controllers are not totally same I was not able to make sure which one to connect where. I just guess I can find it out by using vol/amper/ohm meter, but as I am no electician I need some details and advice about how to do it and how finally figure out which cable to put where.

Many thanks for you reply.

Picture of original broken controller with marks for connecting 3 cable I talk about.

THANKS! It really helped! ;)

I end up in strange situation. Ordered new controller from dealer in Holland but found out that hole trough which axle goes is slightly different than on the broken one, so controller doesn´t want to fully sit on its place. Have no idea why golden motor has 2 different controllers for MP3. Or mistake is somewhere else. I need to call to Holland now.  :-X
