Twist Throttle wiring(colors meaning)?
« on: January 27, 2014, 11:47:22 AM »
Hello,
I have opened up my Magic Pie Twist Throttle and can see that there are 6 different wires inside: black, white, green, yellow, red and brown.

From what I was reading, mostly here
http://goldenmotor.com/SMF/index.php?topic=1718.0

I understand( and correct me if I am wrong) that red is the +5V, Black is the "0V/ground" and white is the signal that is transmuted from the Throttle to the controller

That leaves me 3 more colors: green, brown and yellow
Could you tell me what they are?

I could take a stab in the dark.

I seem to recall the brown and yellowis for the button switch on the throttle. The green is full voltage from the battery to light up the LEDS and display battery power level.

Now  that I have thought about this some more. It would seem the throttle in the link you displayed is not an MP3 throttle. In that throttle the white is the throttle signal wire and the green is the battery LED's.

In the MP3 throttles The green is the throttle signal wire. I know that for a fact as I have cut into it to run through my Cycle Analyst as in this video.
