Smart Pie not working

Hi,

I recently bought a Smart Pie front wheel kit with a 36V bottle battery. I am however not able to make the kit work. The battery is working and I am able to connect to the Smart Pie controller via the USB, using the Magic Pie & Smart Pie porgramming program. When I connect the battery, however, nothing happens. No light on the handle bar battery indicator lights, nothing. I've measured the battery voltage to 40V using a Voltmeter, so that seems to work. What could be wrong? The kit has not been used, it is brand new.

Sorry for the delayed response but I have only just noticed your post. Does it still not run, or have you been able to repair the fault?

If you are able to measure the battery voltage at the output plug while it is connected and turned on it might help to determine why the battery gauge LEDs are not working.

If the battery voltage is still around 40V on the output plug (while connected and turned on) I would say that the battery is unlikely to be the cause of the problem.
