GM Canada - New Project Bike. A Schwinn OCC Stingray Chopper
« on: September 16, 2013, 03:48:08 AM »
I was out for a drive in the country and spotted this on the side of the road. A farmer that appears to also have a business in fixing and selling old bikes. I bought it for a very low price and have given it to my son.

A perfect candidate for a Smart Pie on the front. My son loves it already and it will be awesome when we cruise together on our e-Choppers :)

Yes I do remember seeing this bike before. Is that an OCC chopper as well? It looks quite similar. I have seen these bikes around the forums before. I am surprised at how small they are. When I ride it my knees and hands are touching. Great for my son though. We are gong to look awesome riding together :)

I Have also seen the adult version as well. Its even nicer with cool suspension forks and other stuff.

Hi Gary, nice to see you are still carrying the GM movement forward.  Cool bike for a youngster to have and ride with Dad.  8)

Hey Andrew, great to hear from you! Hope life with Sarah is going well. Any rug rats yet?

Yes still plugging away. I think what keeps me going is the ride back and forth to work. Its totally awesome every ride. Whenever the weather or some other reason forces me back into the gas guzzling machine its very disappointing. Then if I have to fill it up the fuel tank the price is more than I can justify. I don't think I could ever go back to gas guzzling machines full time.

Long live the eBike!

Gary

One rug rat to report of.   Josie is 8 months old and crawling everywhere and now starting to scramble from object to object on two feet with plenty of falls.  All I can say is... thank god for mums.
I still have two bikes on the go (not including Sarah's) with prospects of starting a new project to create a monster off road vehicle with my mp2.  I do 10 miles a day on my commute with a home built 54v 8ah li-ion pack with plenty of peddling on a freewheeling motor.  I have plans to build up a frame based battery container for a lipo pack on a full suspension pie bike for getting through the mud and hills in the local country side with ease and fun.   The only problem with having more than bike is you can only ride one at a time! ;D
