Hey guys, I been browsing the forums here for weeks and learning a ton of great info from you all.

I'm new to ebikes, and recently purchased and installed a pro 901 26" rear with a 36V 12AH GM battery. I choose this configuration because I really wanted to learn more about the system with an external controller, also the MP 3 was out of stock and I didn't want to wait.

I choose a 36V set up mostly because I like to pedal alot and just wanted some help on the really steep hills I run into in my area and figured it would be a good size to get my feet wet in the ebike world.

I have never been much of a speed demon on bikes or cars so I find the 36V to be almost perfect for me, I weigh about 195lbs. My bike is a 2005 Brodie Omega aluminium frame, I haven't weighed the complete bike with kit installed but I estimate about 50 - 60lbs give or take. I also find pedalling without power to be much easier then I expected, there is resistance but not to bad so I would not be to concerned if I ran out of juice a few kms from my destination although I would probably have to walk it up really big hills.

I'm using a 10mm wrench as a temporary torque arm for now. I'm still not sure I even need one with 36V but the thought of spinning my drop outs, ripping the cables out of my motor or worse, is always in the back of my mind so I have a real torque arm on order.

The 1st time I hooked everything up it was perfect, everything worked as it should. Later I decided to move my controller in a bit of a hurry and when I re attached everything I messed up, when I hit the brakes the cruise control turned on and when I hit the cruise the regen kicked on, I was pretty confused for about 5 seconds till I realized what I did.

Anyways, I hope to learn alot and def do a few more ebike builds and hopefully contribute to the forum here, this seems like a great and somewhat inexpensive hobby plus bike riding is so much more enjoyable now. I attached a picture of my bike for anyone that cares, it's nothing special it's kind of just my 1st e beater so to speak  :)

Take care guys  8)
