Power Cut under heavy load

My golden motor seems to be cutting out under heavy load going up hill. The power does not resume until switching off the battery key and then back on again. I have had about 6 months trouble free service using the external 40A infineon controller from grin cyclery. I am not sure but I think the system has slightly less power than it once did. If I fiddle with the key when riding the bike motor does not cycle off.

Power will also cut out if I place a load in front of the bike and I apply throttle. However under this cut the motor will run again when the throttle is pressed again and the load has been removed.

What should I be looking at to solve this problem?  Any help much appreciated.

My GM(48 volt 1000 watt rear) started doing the same thing after 6months.  The power would suddenly cut out after a sudden  full load.  Turn the key off and on again and it gets  full power again. The battery is holding the charge.  I have started checking connections.  I also wonder if the controller is over heating in these situations.  I haven't taken it out this year yet.  Should be interesting.  I hope this helps.

But switching the controller off and then on again does not solve the problem. Going up steep hill the motor cut out - to fix this it requires the key off and on again. Touching the controller makes no difference.

Does the battery have some type of overload protection? Battery is golden motor LiFePo4. This problem is driving me so crazy, I started using my car again. How can I test to see if this is the battery? Switch seems okay as fiddling with the switch does not cause any powercut.

Any help appreciated.

Going up steep hill  has more than its horsepower, this time motor power is the largest. You can try dual horse power bike with two motors, this better to climb and not appear such protection on controller.

Battery inside of BMS have overcharge, discharge, short circuit, over current, thermal, balanced protection function.

It sounds like you may have a problem with the battery, and as it's over a year old, I doubt that it's a LiFePO₄ pack.

If the battery gauge lights on the throttle go out completely, the battery (or a poor connection) is the most likely cause.
If the lights come on again by simply switching the battery off and on again, it will probably be the BMS that has disconnected the battery because of a low cell or battery voltage.
