LiMn cells
« on: April 07, 2012, 02:04:28 PM »
Hi everyone,

Where can I buy LiMn cells to replace the faulty ones that I've in my GoldenMotor battery pack? (http://goldenmotor.com/SMF/index.php?topic=4141.msg24481#msg24481)

Thanks,

Rui Santos

As far as I know, there are a small amount of LiMn cells in goldenmotor, and enough for your faulty ones.

Yes Rui,

PM Henry Chang, he is here to help people like us and works for GM.  He maybe able to work as a chaperone and hand pick some good cells just for you.

Hello Rui,
First I sorry to you. I looked for inventory, but the cells were too long time,I tried to my superiors explained your situation and had no good news,I try my best, because the battery is eliminated and stop the sale, the LiMn battery has low life, once a cell is broken, even for changing the new, I guess the battery also does not work. The stability of the battery is poor. If be badly in need for battery, or buy the discount LiFePO4battery,I'm sorry I can only say.
Extra suggestion , write more mail to David. Send the more the better.

Hi Henry.  :)

So what is the discount for the new LiFePo4 Henry?  Can you say.  Battery cells need such a low tolerance in manufacturing.  It is never wise to try the new process or the new chemistry to the customer, something should be tested by engineers first.
I think it is very good you tried to help but you get the same message these people get.

It is sad because the batteries as you say are not stable and these people here have bought these batteries in good faith..

I understand you are just a small cog in the bigger gears, meaning you are just a worker trying to help.  I see so much effort in the Golden motor presentation, it is sad it was not in the quality of these batteries.

What would aid Golden Motor is a testing place where they can sample products and test them well before you sell or find an already good reputation builder.

I hope the new cells are better and will see if GM gets the battery right this time.
