Gary, I to was puzzled by the high torque version as having no flats on its axle, it didn’t seem to make much sense. What I was querying was the specific mention of a European version Magic Pie as being
Low RPM high torque.
Les, I assumed that the EU pie would have an electronically cut off at 25kph, just thought logically that for it to be described as high torque it would have to have a slower winding. Thanks for the feedback on the pie regarding load carrying, I liked your description of “whip lash torque on take off” I am sure my new Ping high
BMS 48V 20AH battery will put out enough amps...
Anyway I have just purchased a Magic Pie III ...was lucky, found an Australian dealer who has a couple of Magic Pie 3’s arriving next week.
