Turn off regen braking?
« on: June 09, 2011, 04:18:52 PM »
Hello all,

I was wondering if there is a way to turn off regen braking? I want my brake handles to cut off power to the motor but not activate regen. Can this be done? Can it be done without having to reprogram the controller? I am using an external controller on the 48V 1000W rear hub.

Also, has anyone tried making a cut-off switch for the stock brake handles their bike came with? I think I saw a post on this before but I can't find it.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Down load Cruise control software    HERE  http://www.goldenmotor.com/e-Bike-DIY/PI200Setup.zip
You can turn off regen braking with this software and interface works with WIN XP but not with WIN 7
Special Features:
Cruise Speed Control Programmable via PC through USB cable ( Available from GoldenMotor) to setup motor control all parameters Motor hall sensor failure redundency (Automatically switch to sensorless control)
Anti-theft alarm and wheel-locking by detection of vibration
True regenerative braking (only effective when you squeeze the hand brake)
Other failures redundency (Work with failed throttle and power breaker)
Work with multiple voltages: 24V, 36V and 48V with the same controller
Report failure components by beeps
Motor phase self detection and calibration
Support Forward and Reverse Control
Excessive Current Protection
Low Voltage Protection
High Reliability
