I just heard from a forum member about Foxx power http://www.foxxpower.com/products.html
has anyone used this?  how did it work for you?  how does it compare to the GM Lifepo? any issues with installation?

Still made in China me thinks.  I have the 36V and it has been very good to me thusfar near 700 miles.  Seems to be built well and definately performs that way. No duct tape here a solid hardcase battery. Getting about 20 miles with some hills at 17-20mph with the GM 500 watt. Using the regen controller and no cutouts except when the batt gets very low.  I pedal on accelerating from stops and any hill that slows me much maybe 10% of the time. I can take a while to get the battery pack, near a month on mine, so be patient.  Purchased a good quality cell ballancing charger with the pack and I have no BMS looks like one is now available.

i have been trying to educate myself with all this electric talk.  I don't know anything about electricity.  I have the 48v controller but I don't know how much the motor can take.  Can it take 48v?  one of the forums made me worrried about that.  I am now worried that my wires will melt and my motor will heat up and burn.

before these worries I wanted to buy the 48v and at least a 15 amp hours battery.

btw.  what is amp hours?  is that how long the charge lasts?

Yes they make whatever you want like many of the sellers.  You need to contact them for some stuff though.  http://www.foxxpower.com/ Sometimes it's not easy to get hold of them by e-mail.
