Max speed related to voltage data needed for graph.
« on: November 17, 2010, 11:25:26 PM »
Hi everyone.

I want to get some data for a graph I am doing.  Speed relation to voltage.

Can you please participate and post your batteries nominal voltage, motor type (Magic Pie, Minimotor or HBS) and wheel size.

And please post your bikes maximum unlimited speed obtained (without pedalling) on a flat road with low wind speed.

My nominal voltage is 16 cells x 3.2v = 51.2v.
My Max speed is 41kph on a flat road with no wind.
My wheel size is 26" with Magic Pie motor .

I tried doing one with a little data and it worked but I if Im going to bother doing a nice looking graph I should make it accurate and averaged.

Much thanks in advance.

Just in case you don't know already. My name is Leslie.  some people have problems remembering and typing my 6 digit reversible number screen name.

317537 upside down and reversed = LESLIE.  LOL . Stand on your head and read my screen name.  :D

If you have read the bible at any stage my name could be interpreted as the devils number. Mwahahahah  8)

Edit:

I have some data already all the way up to 110v for the MP.

Sorry please also include your GM motor model and wheel size.

Thank you.

Edit 2:

Ahh I don't remeber putting my model and wheel size in.   ???

The GM fairy has been waving his wand at my thread again.  LOL :D

Oh I should say the GM "magic" fairy. :-\

Great MAgic promo coming on here.

Da da da da daaaa.

The scene.  A Chinese magician dressed in class Tux.  Steps on a stage.  Pulls a large shroud from thin air.

And out of the shroud comes a throttle and places it on the stage floor..  Dances around and then pulls a brake set, then the cables and lights until he pulls out the MP.

Explosions sparks and lasers.  He lays the MP with the other GM products on the floor,  With the same shroud, he throws it over the whole kit.

He then does some theatrics, and slowly pulls the shroud away that is hiding the kit, Explosions sparks and lazers.

A READY MADE E-BIKE APPEARS through the misty smoke. Cool music kicks in and lazes start to dance around to the music.  Doof doof

Magician mount the bike does theatrics and rides off smiling.

Got the standard GM rear wheel 750W, 36V, 26" (non-pie)
GM 36V, 16Ah battery; nom. fully charged at ca. 39V?
max speed on the flat, no wind: 39km/h. (light wind in the back: 42km/h)

Maybe weight/size of the rider matter? I'm 78kg +/- ;)

(Tell me... Did you inhale too much of the magic smoke from the controller?! ;D )

Hey thanks for the data.  No Im light.

The MP motors are not as fast as some of the HBS motors. Its more torque based.  A step up to a 60v pack is certainly within the MP range for good performance figures.

No  ::).  I guess I fancy myself as an advertising think tanker.  So many crap adds on the idiot box ya know.
