I'm impressed you can get all those Ah in a reasonably sized frame bag.  How is the width?  Still able to pedal with no troubles?

Yea they fit perfectly in the place where the 3x12vSLA13Ah batteries were. Ore at least where two of the three batteries were I think the size is erronious because the cell packets come in a little cassette with two buses and two luggs, according to the pictures on the cheer ocean website.  Without the cassette the battery is 10% smaller in every dimension. something like 90mmWx130mmHx180mmL.  The box is the one that used to come with the GM kit.  I only wish I bought the 20Ah battery it would easily fit as well.  I put angle bar under the box as the conduit horseshoe clips wouldn't hold the weight of the SLA's.  I had to cut the battery lug on the one side to split the cells in two with a jumper so that the batteries could accomodate the division bulkhead and the holder together screw standoff thingys.  The width is not a problem the outside of the box is about 4 inches.  I actually sit on it when I'm stopped at a light.  The best part is the look of the old Indian motorcycle.  The battery ended up here because I have a trail-a-bike that my daughter rides to school.  Totally illegal so don't tell the cops. draggin

I wouldn't have thought a single wheel trailer bike would be illegal.  What jurisdiction?

Nice look, Norkmeister.

Draggin, does that mean all tandem bikes are illegal?  And all child-seats?  Interesting law.  I'm guessing it is a poorly written law attempting to keep the kiddies off the handlebars and kick-pegs of their friends' BMX along with over-zealous interpretation and enforcement.

This is my first prototyp of a large-city e-bike, SLA batteries (too heavy) and a too-heavy motor. It does not look nice, that prevents people from stealing it. I still plan to hide the front-wheel, which is well visible now. The multimeter (I can check batt Voltage and driving current by switching on it) helps me to optimize driving strategies, it can be dismounted easily. The biggest advantage of the whole thing is it's price: The whole thing (including bike and battery) was about 240€.

My next bike will have a rear wheel motor, it's easier to hide and should allow for a more pedal-bike-like driving feeling.

Martin.

PS sorry cannot add the 100k-pic, says upload folder is full :-(
