munyard can you take some good photos of the controller you took out and tell us the numbers on the mosfet's?

I just pulled the controller from my Pie as well -- here's the markings from my fets:

P140NF75
CC 1QE 3
MAR 715

Here's a link to the data sheet: http://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/pdf/23896/STMICROELECTRONICS/P140NF75.html

The capacitors are 63V 470µF, not really rated for much more than 48V I'd imagine. As many others have reported it's almost identical to the Magic Controller, which is what I'm using now since I burned up my internal controller.

Here's a few large images of the internal controller: http://lostsolutions.net/mp/

If anybody in the US wants my dead controller let me know, I'll send it your way. I have no use for it and will probably throw it away.

Hi munyard

Would you share with us how you managed to get all the wiring from an external controller into the Pie?

It seems a tight squeeze to fit everything through the existing slot for cables? I am seriously considering an external controller for my Pie, and would be interested in what you did (any pictures would be even better!)

Many thanks
