I'm using a 24v Magic Controller on a 20" 24v motor running at 36v.

Frank, what do you mean by "brake and regen", are they not the same thing? or do you mean the power breaking switches on the brake levers?

Don't your minimotors have the internal freewheels which would prevent regen from working anyway?

I meant cruise control, brake (cutoff) and regen?
I have 2 motors, the front is the mini motor and the rear is the stock motor on my schwinn electric occ

The regen yes!

The Cruise Yes and No!

Yes, if you use the advanced hookup using the diode and resistor as shown in the instruction manual. Except use a 330 ohm resistor instead of the suggested 3-5k. Then add a jumper to j6 on the CA circuit board. Then the CA works perfectly and you still have cruise.

No, If you use the VI method for the adavanced hookup. The cruise will not work, at least it didn't work on my version 2.1 CA.

Gary. I don't know much about resistors and diodes. What is the exact Resistor and diode I need to purchase, and are these things I can purchase from The Source? Looking at the diagram in my CA 2.2 users manual, I don't see j6. Is it clearly marked on the actual circuit board? Thanks for the help.

This was answered in another thread but I will repeat it here incase someone is only reading this one.

Refer to the wiring diagram in your CA manual. The resistor should be 330 ohm istead of the 3-5k as suggested. The diode can be virtually any diode. The jumper goes on R6 not J6 (not documented) as I stated earlier.
