When I power on the bike with this kit, the PAS always comes up in mode 5. I only recently found this out when I swapped out my Bluetooth adapter for the Smart Display. With the Bluetooth adapter, the phone App always reports that the PAS is set to 0 at power-on. I had a couple close calls initially with the bike as I naively believed the PAS mode was accurately reported as inactive.
At customer service’s request, I did re-flashed the firmware (MP5-20150702.0C8) with no change in behavior.
Does anyone have a clue why it is powering on in PAS mode 5? I would like to have the option to go back to the Bluetooth adapter with an accurate reporting PAS. Is this the behavior for all Magic Pie 5 Controllers?
