VEC200 / HPM300 Throttle problem // Short circuit error code?
« on: November 13, 2016, 08:34:24 AM »
Just hooked up my new motor + Controller + Twist throttle . I have a problem.

The motor stops at around  half throttle. (V=2.2volt). I see the Led flashing 3 times when this happens. If I release the throttle it restarts again till I reach the same level and then it cuts out again.

Do you have a more up to date manual of the FOC controller that you can share? The one on the internet seems old... The LED error code for 3 flashes  says that there is a motor short circuit in this document. This cannot be correct as the motor does turn it only does not go full speed.

The motor is connected to 48V 20AH battery and it is running free, no load yet... So it cannot be getting too little current...I also monitored battery voltage which is steady at 52VOLT all the time.

I did not change the default motor settings yet with the programming cable.

Can you technical support team give some ideas on what can be wrong?

Hi andto the forum.

As far as I am aware, that is the only manual available for the FOC controllers

I suggest you contact Andy at GM china and ask for his advice on what settings you should use that might help to cure the cutting out.
