Hi, I am new to this forum and as of last week a first time owner of a Golden motor product, a Smart Pie 4 26" front wheel. Yesterday, after several hours of work I finally went out for my first test drive. It worked only intermitentely because there seemed to be a poor power connection somewhere. It now seems as my sadle post mounted 36V10Ah GM "frog" battery has one faulty (+ pole) connector that might have caused a spark to the battery cradle under the saddle. Anyway, the biggest problem right now is that the SM4 wheel is constantly applying a braking torque, even after disconnecting the battery and all other cables. Measured voltage of battery is still 40,3 V but when I measure resistance over the power cables to the motor I get 0 ohm. To me this means SM4 internal short circuit. The motor doesn't react to throttle, display shows nothing and leds on throttle are dark. Any thoughts on this, where do I go from here?
Sincerely, Swedguy
