What Motor should I use

Hi,

What power Motor I should Use, HPM5000B or HPM-10KW ?

My vehicle specifications are:
1) Weight of vehicle( including passengers+max Load) : 900Kilos
2) Top Speed :45 KMPH
3) Continuous Speed: 40KMPH
4) 0-10 KMPH: in 3 secs
5) Gradient : 20%

Holy cow!  You want to haul 900 Kilos up a 20% grade at 40kph?

(.2m/m) * (900 kg)*(9.8 (m/(s^2)))*(40(km / s)) = 70,560kW

That's just the fight against gravity!  Then add drag and friction???

I think there is a mistake in the calculation of e-Imer

his Formula: (.2m/m) * (900 kg)*(9.8 (m/(s^2)))*(40(km / s)) = 70,560kW
I think v has to be taken in m/s (40km/h means 11,11m/s); (.2m/m) * (900 kg)*(9.8 (m/(s^2)))*(11m / s)) = 19,8kw
But I am not sure, if Naveen realy wants to drive with 40km/h even on 20% grade.
If the 40/45km/h is for flat area and on 20% grade less than 20 km/h is fine, the 10kW motor would fit (the peak for this motor is anyway 20kW)

Oops, yes, kph is not correct for that calculation.
It is still going to take a lot of power to push
900kg up a hill like that.
