What's the motor on the picture below - SmartPie or MagicPie? How can I order such motor wheel? What's the top speed?

You should be able to purchase one of these from any of the GM Dealers who have them in stock.

The top speed is likely to be around 13mph (21km/h) with a 48V battery.

Thanks Alan! 21kmh... too slow... Will the motor accept 72V battery? Could the speed be increased to 30kmh then?

Unfortunately 72V is too much for the GM controllers, but if you bought a Smart Pie for use with external controllers, you could connect it to a non-GM 72V controller which should result in a top speed of around 30km/h.

The motor should be able to handle the higher voltage, as long as the current is kept to a sensible limit.

The default current setting for the Smart Pie is 15 amps continuous and 45 amps peak, but I would suggest 20 amps maximum with a 72V controller (assuming the controller can be adjusted).

Guys be careful chasing more speed on a 12" wheeled scooter like the sidewalker micro. They get very wobbly above 25 kph (down hills). A MP in this frame would be a health risk IMHO. I've got half an idea to put another SP on the front wheel for more torque with the same top speed though.
