Hi all,
I have received my rear wheel kit last week and on fitting a single speed freeweel,a shimano SF-MX30 17T it seems to be very loose on the threads of the motor. The freewheel can be rocked up and down quite a bit unless it is tightened down hard against face. I believe this freewheel is the standard ISO thread.
This worries me that there is not enough of the thread mating although the pitch seems correct, threads on just very loosly.
A workmate had a hub motor of unknown origin that had a similar issue and he had the threads strip off the motor while pedaling so I'm concerned that this could happen to my motor.
Can anyone confirm what the actual thread of the golden motor is and if this looseness is a problem? I couldn't find it in the diagrams on the site.
Thanks
Ricky
