New rims new spokes no center possible

Does anyone has the issue : the rear wheel is not center when new spokes and rim are installed?

The freewheel side spokes are almost straight up, so you can't tight it anymore.
But still the wheel is not center

Any help/ideas are welcome.

If you refit the spokes so that the heads are on the inside of the hub flanges it will allow the rim to be offset further if necessary:



The rim on my MPIII was re-laced as shown above, and it is perfectly centred within the frame, and the freewheel side spokes are still nicely angled.

Yes the spokes are fitted as shown in your picture.

Did you use all 36 spokes the same length?
Or did you use shorter spokes at freewheel side?

O well I will try to loose all spokes at disc brake side and tightened the spokes at freewheel side.

At first try I have laced the hub to center of the rim, so this way you will create a lot of offcenter to non freewheel side.

I'm pretty sure that GM use the same length spokes for both sides of the wheel, but I didn't bother to check. I just loosened all the spokes and then removed and refitted each of the spokes the opposite way around one at a time.

The rim should be correctly centred within the frame and concentric with the axle before you begin systematically tensioning the spokes.

I'm pretty sure that GM use the same length spokes for both sides of the wheel....

When I try to move the wheel over the the freewheel side, I loosen all the spokes on the disc side a quarter turn, then tighten the freewheel side a quarter turn.

Round and round you go.

I have fixed the problem.

Luckely I had 124mm spokes laying around.
So after lacing: short spokes 120mm at freewheel side and long spokes 124mm at non freewheel side.
The wheel is center

The spokes at freewheel side are almost straight like a normal MTB hub.

Okay problem is back.

All freewheel side spokes are tensioned to max torque.
Even then the wheel will not be center.

I think the new rims is not compatible?
It's Mavic EX325 32 mm rim.

I think it is just the rim is too width and hub is too small for dishing the wheel.
The small hub allow you only few mm to center the rim.

O well I have to live with this problem

I have a "front" hub (although I use it on the rear, as my transpo is a home-built scooter, not a bicycle) and I have the same problem with the "dish" of the wheel.  It can only go so far to one side because the spokes on that side are perfectly vertical.  The spokes need to have some angle (between the hub an the rim) in order for them to "pull" the rim to that side--thus, centering the rim.

I ended up with using some spacers.
